The greatest innovation in winemaking
is going back to the beauty of wine’s origins
A very special land
The vineyards “Vigne del Malina” are cultivated where two streams, the Malina and the Ellero – certainly not by chance – drew the shape of a wine glass. An alluvional soil whose unique characteristics and particular microclimate are ideal for small quantities of superior quality grapes. The right place to produce wine, the way we like. Our wines grow in 150 hectars of land, where the vineyards breath and occupy only a limited part: low environmental impact management, frequent manual operations and no chemical weeding. Soil composed of alluvional gravels, particular microclimate with high thermal excursions, constantly ventilated by the wind channelled by the pre-alpine valleys.
Surronded by history
In this land, grapevines have been cultivated for centuries, as the refined little Longbard temple of the neighbouring Cividale reminds us. The imposing nineteenth-century villa is in the centre of the estate and includes even more ancient buildings, of great historical and architectural value.
Man is protagonist, always
Our values are founded on simplicity: fine, genuine and varietal wines, to return to the origins, the taste, the aroma, the structure and, above all, the special character which identifies each grape variety. A simplicity which will be a great discovery for most people.
It is always man who is protagonist during grape crushing, throughout the delicate fermentation process and finally among the Slavonian oak barrels and the splendid French tonneaux. Because grapes are important, but man is so much more.
